Overview The Nathan Hecker letters were sent to Nathan Hecker, a Cheif Aviation Radio Technician, by his wife, Dorothy. Nathan Hecker was killed in the November 25, 1944 kamikaze attacks on board Intrepid. The letters never reached Hecker and they were returned to Dorothy, stamped undeliverable.Charles Robinson was a letter carrier in the Fresno area. Scope and Contents The Richard K. Gaines Papers contains two items from his service aboard Intrepid, where he served as Intrepid's first executive officer. There is a postcard mailed to Thomas L. Sprague from the Chez Paree with inscribed names, including Gaines and Sprague. The other item in this collection is a photograph with cartoons of Gaines and Sprague.
