Scope and Contents Advertisement; This advertisement for Chance Vought Aircraft appeared in 1955. The publication is unknown. The ad, titled “Bomb That Thinks,” shows an artist’s conception of the Regulus missile launching from a cruiser. The ad also includes a pitch for Navy recruitment.

Brian Walker Papers

Scope and Contents Brian Walker served as a pilot on board Intrepid during the ship’s second deployment to Vietnam in 1967. He was a lieutenant junior grade with squadron VA-34. Mr. Walker was one of the pilots who lived in the bunkroom nicknamed “Triple Stix,” and one of the contributors to the “Triple Stix” log, which is in the collection. Abstract David Benedict served on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVA-11). He worked first as a boiler tender in the number two boiler room, and then as a yeoman in the engineering office.
