- This folder consists of papers from Lyness’s role as Assistant for RPS Publications in the Registered Publications Section. The Section was part of the Naval Communication Division in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and controlled distributing and accounting for classified publications tracked in the Registered Publications System. The papers comprise memoranda, policies, weekly work reports, and lectures reflecting Lyness’s work writing policy for, teaching about, and inspecting the use of the Registered Publications System. Other documents of interest include memoranda in regards to demobilization, Registered Publication Issuing Office (RPIO) newsletters, and a RPS Christmas greeting card with a cartoon.
