Biography
Calvin Underwood, from Pell City, Alabama, served aboard Growler as a missile technician third class from 1962 to 1964. He also performed a variety of other duties, from topside gang leader to occasionally standing sonar watches. Underwood served aboard Growler during the boat’s final three patrols.
