Biography
Arthur E. Gardner served on the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) in World War II from September 1943 - April 1944 as a Fireman First Class, after which he served the remainder of the war on board destroyers. Mr. Gardner went on to be a machinist, a pilot, and made parts for Apollo II. He passed away in 1993.
