Biography

Lt. Cdr. Richard Allan "Moose" Moran was a pilot with squadron VA-15 on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) in 1966. On August 7, 1966, Lt. Cdr. Moran crashed into the ocean while attempting to land on board Intrepid. His remains were not recovered.

Scope and Contents Jimm Larry Hendren served aboard Intrepid as the ship’s legal officer during the 1966 WESTPAC cruise to Vietnam.
