Biography

Noble Atkins Sr. served with VT-10 on board the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CV-11) from February 1945 through June 1945. He served in the Navy from April 1942- June 1946. He was a Lieutenant Commander in the USNR and was an administrator and personnel officer for VT-10. He wrote the action reports for the squadron. He was removed from the ship during June 1945 due to a serious back and leg injury resulting from the April Kamikaze attack near Okinawa and was hospitalized for seven months.
