Overview The Andy Tamasi papers consist of ephemera collected during Tamasi's time on board Intrepid from 1954–1956. As a member of the S-2 Division, he worked in the galley where he cooked food for enlisted sailors.
Overview The Dolores Peterson Concorde papers collection consists of ephemera from Peterson's personal experience on an Air France Concorde flight in 1997 and the objects donated were saved as personal mementoes. These mementoes include ticket stubs, boarding passes, a certificate, menu, and other Air France Concorde related items.
Overview The Don and Eloise Bee Papers includes a series of love letters exchanged between the Don and Eloise, his then girlfriend and future wife, while Don was deployed on Intrepid from January 26, 1944–August 16, 1945, menus and programs from his time aboard, and a telephone directory from the ship from Apirl 1945.
Scope and Contents The Gerald McDonald letters contain correspondence between McDonald and his cousin Patsy, her husband, Dick, and their daughter, Charlene. The letters discuss family life, McDonald's impending marriage to Clem, then fiancé, now wife, life aboard the Intrepid, various ports of call McDonald has visited and the often negative reception the crew has received, and what items family members want sent back from the various ports.
Overview The John "Jack" Standish Papers contain both items from his service aboard Intrepid from 1959–61 and newspaper clippings about the Intrepid Museum in later years. In addition to newspaper clippings, materials in this collection include a Cruise Book from 1959, various navy and Intrepid identification cards, service records, ports of call booklets, reference guides and manuals, war ration booklets, and other Intrepid related ephemera that span Standish's time with Intrepid.
Overview The James Swagerty papers contain documents relating to Swagerty's service aboard Intrepid as a radarman, and the most significant items are a journal/logbook that includes entries about events as well as radarman training.
Overview The John Ninivaggi Concorde Papers include various Concorde ephemera such as an official concorde envelope, a booklet on Concorde's history, a menu, a blank certificate, and a newsletter that commemorates Conrcorde's final flight in 2003.
Overview The Jonathan Havlick papers contain items related to Havlick's 1961-1962 Mediterranean Cruise aboard the Intrepid. This collection includes Familygrams from November 1961 to May 1962; the Thanksgiving menu from 1961; the Cruise book from his Mediterranean Cruise in 1961-1962, 1962; and newspaper clippings on the Sixth Fleet and the Intrepid from July 6, 1961–August 10, 1962.
Overview The Lane Warren Peterson papers cover Peterson's time aboard Intrepid during World War II. This collection includes Intrepid publications such as the USS Intrepid magazine, and internal documents such as Plans of the Day and news releases given to sailors. It also includes poems and letters collected by and sent to Petereson, most of them jokes and other stories that have little to do with naval service.
