Biography
Daughter of Bernard “Ben” St. John (1921–2016) who served on board the aircraft carrier Intrepid (CV-11) as a pilot in squadron VT-18 in 1944. He received the Navy Cross for his actions during the Battle of Leyte Gulf, as well as the Distinguished Flying Cross for his missions over Formosa. Ben participated in our oral history project in 2013 (OHP 027).
