Biography
Samuel Taylor served aboard the aircraft carrier USS Intrepid (CVS-11) during the ship's first two Vietnam deployments. He was an Aviation Machinist's Mate Jet Engine Mechanic 3rd Class, ADJ3C. In 1966, he served on the flight deck as part of the V-1 division. For the 1967 cruise, he was reassigned to the V-6 division and worked in the engine shop.
