The dispatches are battle communications on such topics as weather conditions, casualty numbers, medical supplies, room on deck for aircraft, ships damaged, transfer of Japanese prisoners, numbers and movement of American and enemy ships and aircraft, attacks and kamikaze attacks, rescue of sailors in the water, and submarine sightings.
