Air squadron personnel management, December 11, 1944–April 16, 1971, n.d.

 Series
Identifier: I.B.b

Scope and Contents

Unlike the Air Department, squadrons were not part of the ship’s company. They were temporarily assigned to Intrepid as part of an air group. These personnel management records include rosters for fighter squadron 18 (VF-18), anti-submarine squadron 31 (VS-31), and attack squadron 65 (VA-65), and contain information such as rank, address, next of kin, and stateroom. There is also a summary of grounds for administrative discharges for VS-31, and a duty assignment form for helicopter anti-submarine squadron 11 (HS-11).
